Just Cute Bears #32 - Embossing...

Morning! My card today is for this week's challenge from Just Cute Bears -
'to use EMBOSSING on your card', it can be any type of embossing :)
I have gone for dry embossing and used my cuttlebug with an argyle folder to create the olive strip. I love the argyle folder for male cards!
The cute image is LOTV, a stamp a bought a while back and this is the 1st time I've used it. I think I will be using it a lot for all my masculine cards :)
I have coloured the image with promarkers and the papers are Hampstead by Papermania. I finished by adding the gun metal pearls.
Just Cute Bears are having a DT call this week too, just add DT after your name when you link up your card for this weeks challenge, looking forward to seeing your entries :)
I am going to enter my card into the following challenges -

Just Cute Bears #31 - Pink & Brown...

Time for a new challenge from Just Cute Bears :)
This week's challenge is a colour combo of pink & brown, one of my favourites!
We are sponsored this week by Wild Rose Studio who create the adorable
Milton Bear & Co. range, so cute :)
One lucky winner will win 2 stamps of their choice.
I have used the gorgeous Milton with Flowers and coloured the image with promarkers, using some different colours to usual for a softer look to the bear.
The papers are from a scrap pack and have lovely tones of pink & brown in them. I have finished by adding the pretty pink flower & pearls.
Do check out the Just Cute Bears blog to be inspired by all the gorgeous DT cards and I look forward to seeing all your lovely pink & brown creations x

Clean & Simple Christmas..

A clean & simple Squiggle creation today :)
I printed out the gorgeous digi image 'Skating with Gifts' a little larger than usual!
And as my card is only 5" x 5" there was'nt much room for embellishments :) So I have kept it simple by adding a mat and embossing some lines around the image using my score board.
To make it a little more special I have covered the image with glitter!! Any excuse :)
To achieve this I have used Stampin Up's Heat & Stick powder. After colouring the image I covered it with versamark ink then added the heat & stick powder. I heated this up with my heat gun to make it sticky before completely covering in fine glitter and heating again to make it set! I had glitter everywhere!!
The photos dont really do justice to how sparkly the card is when it catches the light!
I love this cute Skating Girl and she is also available in rubber too {HERE} and if you want to make a head start on all your Christmas cards,
check out all the new Squiggle Christmas images {HERE}

I am entering my card into the 'Christmas' challenge over at 'A Spoonfull of Sugar'...

Celebrate the Day!!

I'm back :) after a lovely couple of weeks away and finally managed to make a card!!
I could'nt wait to use one of the new releases from Squiggle Stamps, some really cute NEW Christmas designs and this adorable 'Autumn Girl' image in the Lilliputs range by Lauren Beard.
I love Autumn tones and we have spectacular autumn colour changes here in the Highlands of Scotland.
I have used Karen's August Squiggle challenge of a recipe to inc. 3 papers, 3 flowers and 3 brads with an option of something metal for my card.
*Click on the photo in my sidebar for more details *
I found this new paper pad by Papermania hiding in my paper mountain!! and the colours were perfect for my card. I have coloured the image with promarkers to coordinate, adding the 3 flowers with metal brads for the challenge :)
The layout is this week's fabulous sketch by Claire from Sunday Sketch & Stamp.
Well that's it for now :) I still have a busy week ahead as we have my mum & dad visiting for the week but schools go back here next Tuesday!! so I'll definitely have more time very soon :)
